I’m Isabella Littleford—a dedicated style expert who’s spent years diving deep into where designer taste meets day-to-day life.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and working alongside top-tier global designers. That experience taught me to recognize exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that seamlessly blends a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with advice shaped by my industry experience. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m diving into a bunch of common questions, as well as where to score deals on them, below! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, have a scroll through my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where did you score your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How much do they go for?
When I grabbed my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard price is $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
How is the fit?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size

How comfy are they?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them golden goose for women more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
Where can I find them on sale?
Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.
- GGoose.org – the site where I bought my pair!
- Gilt – signing up is free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it seems they are offering $50 off your first app order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an incredible source for brand new or barely worn Golden Goose shoes at fantastic prices
- Ebay – lots of amazing deals on nearly new pairs
- @likeabandit – she shares loads of GG deals on her Instagram stories, so keep an eye out
Where were you able to get your pair?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and purchased them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
What’s the price?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their full price is $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
